Ward 8 Farmers' Market This Saturday
To tell you the truth, we don't know what it is either. But the aptly named Chef Herb (Herb Holden) will prepare it at the market on Saturday June 18, and you'll have a chance to see if you like it and want to try it at home.
Meanwhile, our farmers are seeing red. In their fields that is. Carl from Terrapin Station Herb Farm will be harvesting the first cherries of the season. James Smith from Penn Farms hopes to bring those first summer tomatoes. (hmmm... summer tomatoes.)
As always, we have Amish-raised meat. Artisan bread, House plants, greens, jams and surprises.
And, of course, thanks to our friends at Wholesome Wave Foundation. We will double the value of your WIC, Senior, EBT, or SNAP purchases of produce.
