Washington, D.C.— (June 14, 2011) ‐‐ Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel together with the DC Commission on
the Arts and Humanities will present the second annual Summer Screenings, a series of independent film
screenings in conjunction with area film organizations. The Lounge at the Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel will
transform into an intimate and inviting theater allowing guests to discover thought provoking and engaging
films on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 10pm from July 12th through August 22nd.

Summer Screenings series as we continue to offer our guests and the community interesting experiences and
opportunities to discover offerings that are unique and relevant to Washington, DC,” said Matt Felix, general

Partner local film organizations for Summer Screenings include DC Shorts, Washington Jewish Film, GI Film,
Rosebud, Reel Affirmations, and CINE Film Festival. Several of the films will be followed by topical discussions
with directors of the films.

Guests will be treated to a unique theater experience complete with custom menu from Chef Devon Capili
including “Vans” Chipotle seasoned popcorn, Kobe beef sliders, Ahi tuna sliders, Soft Shell Crab spring rolls,
“Sinplicity” yuzu sorbet, Mediterranean nachos and an assortment of cocktails and regional micro‐brews.
