Live East of the River? What brought you here?

I always love to hear and read stories from people who either grew up living East of the River or moved here later in life.  I always say it takes a special person to live here.  You have to have a combination of vision, hope, faith, foresight, perseverance, determination, and community spirit to make a go of it here.  You have to be willing to not only live but invest in a community that for some they either know too little about or all they know is the negative. 

It takes special people to live in a special place.

Why and when did you make the move to Ward 7 or Ward 8? Homeownership?Job? Family?
