Orange "juiced" and "Cuthberuptions"
The ANC 8E01 blog has an interesting recap (with photos) of Saturday's Ward 8 Democrats Endorsement Forum. Seems that Vincent Orange easily "crushed" the competition -- I guess that makes Orange "juiced." (insert groan here)
Also from the recap, it seems that ANC 8C Commissioner Mary Cuthbert continues to live up to her reputation not to allow anyone else to speak. What I am now calling a "Cuthberuption." Yes, she really said, "sit down we don't want no young folks." Jeez!
In all seriousness, I really like that the Ward 8 Democrats invest the time and energy to host these candidate forums. Great way to keep the community informed and encourage Ward 8 residents (of all political parties) to be engaged in the political process.
The Advoc8te was invited to participate as a panelist but unfortunately had to decline because of a prior commitment...which at the last minute turned out to be me rushing my dog to the veterinarian after a scuffle at a dog park, immediately followed by my car breaking down on the way to the veterinarian's office. Fast forward three hours waiting for the tow truck and I was ready to walk back to Congress Heights.
Home never looked so good.
