Good Hope Road Access to Anacostia Park to be Closed Nightly
from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Starting March 14 For Overhead 11th Street Bridge Project Construction
Closure is Between Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Anacostia Drive SE
WASHINGTON, DC – Contractors for the District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close Good Hope Road access into Anacostia Park, between Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Anacostia Drive, overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning starting March 14th for the 11th Street Bridge Project.
Local access will be maintained. The work will continue nightly, from Monday night through Thursday night.
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, the closures may continue the following week during the same overnight hours.
These closures are in addition to previously publicized off-peak closures of the 11th Street bridges, related ramps, portions of the Southeast-Southwest Freeway, Interstate 295/DC 295 and local streets through Friday, March 22, 2011 for project construction.
