Wed, Jan 26: Free Viewing of "The Boys of Baraka"

The Dorothy I. Height Community Academy Public Charter Schools (CAPCS), in conjunction with the Bernard Center for Women, Politics, and Public Policy, will be hosting a viewing of an award-winning documentary, The Boys of Baraka, on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Amos 3 Campus located at 1400 First Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001.  The Boys of Baraka is the true story of 3 twelve year old African-American boys from low-income areas of Baltimore who are given an extraordinary opportunity to go to school in Africa.  The documentary follows the boys and their parents as they make important, life-changing decisions about their education and future.
