UPDATE: ANC 8C monthly meeting rescheduled for Wed, Jan 12
Thank goodness for Twitter! :)
According to Commissioner William Ellis (8C01) who spoke with Commissioner Mary Cuthbert (8C03) tonight's regularly scheduled ANC meeting has been rescheduled (due to the holiday) to next Wednesday, January 12th.
Good news is that Commissioner Ellis will be at the UPO tonight at 6:30pm to take community concerns and hear suggestions from the community on their hopes for ANC 8C in the new year. The Advoc8te will be there with bells on. Despite the lack of community notice regarding the meeting change I am still very hopeful that this new term of ANC 8C will be a good one. I still have hope that our community can effect some positive change, that the commission will follow all the laws and regulations regarding the operations of the commission, that tomfoolery will be kept to a minimum, and that Single Member District Commissioners will attend all the meetings.
I do have hope.
It's a new year, a fresh start, and a new slate. It would be interesting to see what the community and the commissioners write on it. Regardless what has happened in the past I am going to take a "wait and see" attitude with this "new" board.
Everyone deserves a 2nd chance.
