"Snoopy" The Dog

"Snoopy"
Last week while walking Teddy I found a poor little dog howling and freezing in the cold.  He was underweight, frightened, and in some desperate need of some TLC. After much coaxing (and using my belt as a leash), I took him home, fed him, and set him up with a warm bed in my bathroom.

I tried to find his family but was unsuccessful so I called the very nice people at the DC Animal shelter for some help.  They assured me that if he wasn't claimed he would be available for adoption.  He was a really good dog and as cute as can be so hopefully someone out there has room in their home and heart for this little guy.

P.S.  Responsible dog owners should always keep their dog on a leash (it's the law!) and always, always have tags on their dogs -- better still a microchip.  I had my dog microchipped for just $35 and it's the best money I ever spent.

The Washington Humane Society does low-cost vaccinations and microchipping for dogs and cats.
