TEAM PRETLOW makes Milestone ANC Pursuit!
(Washington, D.C.) We are excited to announce that 2010 8C03 ANC Candidate Larry T. Pretlow II has selected his official Campaign Manager, who happens to be a 2010 Candidate for the 7D05 ANC seat.
Liz Pecot (Ward 7) joins Team Pretlow as his Campaign Manager, in the milestone pursuit to claim the SMD 8C03 ANC Seat, currently held by longtime incumbent, the infamous Mary J. Cuthbert (whom of which wants to keep her seat).
"Its been done before elsewhere. We'll do it again in Ward 8", she [Pecot] stated to Mr. Pretlow in reference to winning the November 2nd, 2010 General Election. Pecot urges Pretlow to 'go for the guts'.
2008 ANC Candidate Elvera Patrick who challenged Cuthbert, nearly claimed the seat but was defeated by 130 votes. a Write-In Candidate claimed 13 votes as well. This season, Team Pretlow vows to be the Winner!
Patrick has also join the team as a Petition Circulator. Picking up with the voters she gained in 2008 and helping Pretlow educate new voters about the ANC and earning their votes.
It's clear that Ward 8 needs new Leadership, and SMD 8C03 needs a new Commissioner. Mr. Pretlow a Ward 7 Native, moved to Ward 8 and immediately saw evidence of poor leadership, minus 8C01 Commissioner Ellis whom Pretlow supports.
Pretlow's platform is centered around his proposal to establish the 'SMD 8C03 Community Reform Committee'. A committee headed by the future ANC Commissioner, comprised of Block Captains and Precinct Captains who jointly vote and decide on community plans, policy and developments.
Pretlow says, "I'm giving 8C03 a Voice in Moving Forward! Something we've lacked for years. This committee ensures that the ANC Commissioner pursues the policies and action that the residents want and agree on. I'm increasing both Government and Community Involvement."
