IN PICTURES: Congress Heights Neighborhood Streets - Newcomb St., 5th St. and Lebaum
More pictures of Congress Heights neighborhood streets. Today I walked up Newcomb Street over to 5th Street and down to Lebaum Street and checked out the sprawling St. Elizabeth's West campus (I think it was West I always get them confused) through the fence. Sometimes you forget that Saint Elizabeth's is literally right in the neighborhood. It really is a beautiful campus.
There are a lot of nice single family homes in the neighborhood especailly on Lebaum Street which is right on the border of St Elizabeths. The houses are so charming, they remind me of gingerbread houses. When DHS completes their move to St. Elizabeths these houses are going to be in HUGE demand by the 14,000 workers who will be relocated to St. Es! Who wouldn't want a one minute commute?
