LOOKS LIKE QUALITY CONVIENCE STORE IS GOING TO START SELLING LIQUOR AFTERALL

The Advocate remembers the October 2008 ANC meeting where this was discussed because as usual it resulted in yelling, screaming and accusations from both sides.

Despite a protest being filed by Commissioner Cuthbert on behalf of ANC 8C no one from ANC 8C showed up to the Alcohol Beverage Control Board on Jan 22nd 2009. Per the motion "The Board dismissed the Protest as a result of ANC 8C's failure to appear at the Status Hearing".

The Advocate wonders if at the January meeting a Chair and Vice Chair were elected and an agenda approved prior to the meeting if perhaps this wouldn't have fallen through the cracks. The Board does grant a 10 day appeal period for which an appeal could have been filed by ANC 8C but The Advocate seriously doubts that happened. The last day to file the appeal would have been February 7th. Perhaps if the schedhuled Feb 4th ANC meeting had occured an appeal could have been filed by the deadline.
