OPERATION FIX IT

Good Day All,

This week Mayor Fenty's Office of Community Relations and Services will conduct an Operation Fix-it at the 2300 block of Payne Terrace, SE. We will target the rear alleys of the 1300 block of Valley Place, SE/2200 block of Mount View Place, SE and 2300 block of Payne Terrace, SE.

This is in the SMD of ANC 8A03. We will focus on abandoned auto removal, graffiti removal, bulk trash removal and street/alley cleaning. Other agencies will be in attendance to assist with human and social service issues as well.

What is an “Operation Fix-It”?
“Operation Fix It” is Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s multi-agency initiative aimed at abating areas where crime, blight, and compliance issues require participation from more than one DC Government agency. “Fix Its” are coordinated weekly by the Outreach and Services Specialists and cover a 2-3 block radius with services including graffiti removal, street cleaning, alley repair, weed trimming, illegal dumping, abandoned auto removal, building inspection and much more. "Operation Fix-It" aims to improve the quality of life for residents, businesses and patrons.

Good Evening,
The core team will meet every Thursday from 1pm-3pm. Our locations vary across Ward 8. Next week's "Operation Fix-it" will be held on Wednesday, November 26 @ 8am due to the holiday. A more detailed email will be sent with next week's location.
