❤️ #SoutheastLove Flashback - 2019 Community Photoshoot with FSFSC
On February 14, 2019 in Historic Anacostia, members of the community joined The Advoc8te and Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative to celebrate some major milestones:
the Collaborative’s new Headquarters at 2004 Martin Luther King, Jr, Avenue SE
the impending arrival of the first Busboys and Poets east of the river (also at 2004 MLK) and
the LARGEST Southeast Love community photoshoot to date!
We had a B-L-A-S-T spreading the love! It was a morning filled with hope, optimism and a real sense of community! Drivers honked their horns in support and pedestrians picked up some signs and joined the fun! Still one of my favorite Southeast Love moments to date. Kudos to Dedra Owens from Dot Communications for the assist and my dear friend Tommie Adams, Jr. for taking the morning off from work to take some snaps!
