Honfleur Gallery, in partnership with Valley Place Arts Collaborative and The Black Art Today Foundation, presents HERSTORY IN HUES, a powerful exhibition honoring the creativity, resilience, and brilliance of Black and Brown women in the arts! The exhibition features the work of a collective of accomplished women of color artists who are reclaiming and reframing art history by centering the voices and visions of Black and Brown female artists.

HERSTORY IN HUES is a rich tapestry of works from diverse artists, each bringing their unique perspective to the exhibition. Alma Roberts, Anita Henley Carrington, Artkina Celestin, Brittany Mona', Janet B.Waters, JaVon L Townsend, K Starks, Karen Y. Buster, Kaylee Daryl, Lauretta Jo McCoy, Linda Mose Meadows, Marie Antoinette, Marilyn Gates-Davis, Mary Claggett, Nikki Brooks, Pilar Ortiz, Rebeca Alvarado, Suzette Royster, Tanya Bracey, Dr. Yemonja Smalls, and Zsudayka Nzinga, represent a wide range of experiences and artistic styles.

HERSTORY IN HUES is not just an exhibition; it's a movement. This multidimensional showcase, featuring various mediumsโ€”paintings, sculptures, quilts, and more, is a powerful statement. It reclaims and reframes the traditional concept of art history by centering the voices and visions of Black and Brown female artists, whose contributions have been overlooked and erased from the mainstream art narrative. This unique presentation celebrates these pioneering women's multifaceted experiences, struggles, and triumphs throughout history. From vibrant hues to the bold abstractions of today, HERSTORY IN HUES Shines a light on their incredible talent, resilience, and unique perspectives, inspiring us all.
