🌟Free Meals For DC Youth During Winter Break at DPR Recreation Centers [SP]
Mayor Muriel Bowser and DC Department of Parks and Recreation are offering free meals to DC youth during winter break from noon to 1:00 PM, daily from December 27 - 30, 2021.
There is no application or ID required at ten recreation centers in Ward 7 and 8; youth 18 and under can just stop by and have a meal on DPR!
Meals are provided through DPR's Afterschool Meals Program in coordination with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education as part of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Barry Farm Recreation Center, 1230 Sumner Road SE
Benning Stoddert Recreation Center, 100 Stoddert Place SE
Deanwood Recreation Center, 1350 49th Street NE
Ferebee-Hope Recreation Center, 3999 8th Street SE
Fort Davis Recreation Center, 1400 41st Street SE
Fort Stanton Recreation Center, 1812 Erie Street SE
Hillcrest Recreation Center, 3100 Denver Street SE
Marvin Gaye Recreation Center, 15 61st Street NE
Southeast Tennis and Learning Center, 701 Mississippi Avenue SE
Woody Ward Recreation Center, 5100 Southern Avenue SE
It's not just for winter break, afterschool meals will be available afternoons when DC Public Schools are back in session.
