🌟 Free Afterschool Meals for DC Youth at DPR Recreation Centers [SP]

Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation have launched the DPR Afterschool Meals program, offering supper at no cost for children 18 years of age and younger at eight recreation centers in Wards 7 and 8 and 18 recreation centers throughout the District of Columbia. 

Meals are available Monday through Friday from 4 - 5 pm at most sites, where DPR afterschool programs are available.* No application or ID is required. Meals are provided in coordination with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education as part of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program.

  • Marvin Gaye Recreation Center, 15 61st Street NE

  • Rosedale Recreation Center, 1701Gales Street NE

  • Southeast Tennis and Learning Center, 701 Mississippi Avenue SE*

  • Woody Ward Recreation Center, 5100 Southern Avenue SE

*Southeast Tennis & Learning Center site operates from 4 - 5:15 pm
