🏆 Aug 10 | Boat Tour of the Anacostia River - Free event!

Join Anacostia Riverkeeper and Friends of Kingman & Heritage Islands on an exclusive summer tour of the Anacostia River! On Saturday, Aug. 10, 1-3pm, we will be exploring the river's diverse ecosystem and unique history in DC. On this trip, Anacostia Riverkeeper's Trey Sherard will discuss the people, plants, and animals that have inhabited the Watershed, as well as ongoing efforts to restore and conserve the natural environment.

The boat tour group will meet on the Kingman Island bridge at 1pm before going over safety information and launching from the east bank of the island. Please note that waivers are mandatory and will be sent via email when you sign up through EventBrite. Toddlers may join with a responsible caregiver, but if they are under 40 pounds, they will need to bring their own lifevest.
