💵 $1,200 One-Time Payment to DC residents getting PUA as of Nov 30th!

I know this money isn’t coming a moment too soon for gig workers and the self-employed who have been waiting for months for their full benefits from DOES. I’m hearing from many people who haven’t gotten any payments as of yet.

In order to get this one-time $1,200 payment, recipients must be DC residents who were working in the District when they become unemployed, if you were working outside of DC you aren’t eligible. This should help about 20,000 DC residents. No word on when the payments will start going out but they will be automatic, you don’t have to do anything to get the money. If you had applied for PUA by November 30th but hadn’t been approved yet you should still get the money.
