This position is located within the Vacant Building Enforcement, Inspection and Compliance Administration, Division of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. The mission of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs is to protect the health, safety, economic interests, and quality of life of residents, businesses, and visitors in the District of Columbia by issuing licenses and permits, conducting inspections, enforcing building, housing, and safety codes, regulating land use and development, and providing consumer 

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out the appropriate landscaping activities at the assigned properties, cleans and clears all areas where there is an accumulation of trash and debris, makes the properties in the community safe from criminal activities by keeping the grass and weeds under control especially where there are vacant properties in need of care.

Incumbent will occasionally need to lift equipment and/or supplies into the work trucks in order to ensure all of the needed articles are there before going on sites, and barricades open and accessible properties.
