The National WIC Association (NWA), the nonprofit education arm and advocacy voice of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), has an immediate opening for a Senior Communications Associate.
NWA is a high-impact nonprofit, member organization that represents more than 2,000 service provider agencies that offer quality nutrition education, breastfeeding support, health care, and other social referral services to at-risk women and young children in over 10,000 WIC clinics nationwide.
The Senior Communications Associate will be part of NWA’s Communications team. They are responsible for supporting the development and execution of NWA’s WIC outreach and engagement resources with a mission to grow a nationally integrated multi-platform strategic marketing approach with the desired goals of raising awareness, driving enrollment, and improving perceptions of WIC as the nation’s premier public health nutrition program. The position ensures that the Recruitment and Retention Campaign reflects NWA’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and that EDI considerations inform program management decisions. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating all strategies and activities with NWA’s Communications Team.
