[PR] Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

First District:

On Sunday, May 31, 2020, 28 year-old Maurice Singletary, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Sunday, May 31, 2020, in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-080-515

At approximately 3:37 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene.

Third District:

On Thursday, June 4, 2020, 26 year-old Dionte Wilson, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Thursday, June 4, 2020, in the 1900 block of 8th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-082-745

At approximately 12:44 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect then snatched the victim’s property and fled the scene.

Fourth District:

On Monday, June 1, 2020, 31 year-old Shadoman Gaither, of Clinton, MD, was arrested for a Robbery offense that occurred on Monday, June 1, 2020, in the 300 block of Hawaii Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 20-080-978

At approximately 6:15 am, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect threatened the victim and demanded US currency from the register. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.

Seventh District:

On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, 18 year-old Raequan Green, 18 year-old Tysheem Faulkner, and 20 year-old Dashawn Spruell, all of Southeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in the 2400 block of Wagner Street, Southeast. CCN: 20-082-048

At approximately 8:51 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victims’ property. The victims complied. During the robbery, one of the suspects discharged their firearm at the complainants, with no rounds taking effect. The suspects fled the scene but were apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
