The Black Swan Academy is looking for a reliable van driver, with great energy and that enjoys working with youth to ensure they are transported in a safe, timely manner to and from destinations. This position will report directly to the Program Manager.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Ensure youth are transported home safely from program site;

• Transport youth, volunteers and staff to and from off site events;

• Create supportive, welcoming environment for youth;

• Support Program Manager in maintaining the Van;

• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed;

• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings;

• Complete defensive driving course

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older;

• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record;

• Ability to operate and navigate a 15-passenger van;

• Familiarity driving in the Greater DC area, specifically SE, DC;

• 1-2 years experience working with youth;

• Strong time management skills;

• Sensitivity to people of diverse educational, ethnic, and economic backgrounds;

• Secure DCPS clearance.

Schedule:

• 10 hrs weekly

• Monday - Friday 2:30 PM to 7:30

• Availability on some weekends and hours outside of the aforementioned schedule

Wage:

• $15 per hour
