Sept 9 | The Power Of Poetry at Honfleur Gallery

Honfleur Gallery is a contemporary art space located in the Historic Anacostia neighborhood of Washington DC, between Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., SE (11th Street Bridge) and 13th Street SE. Honfleur maintains a rigorous schedule of exhibitions and programming that focuses on cutting-edge contemporary exhibitions by artists from the USA and abroad.

Experimental media and installation works are welcome at Honfleur alongside more traditional art media. Implementing diverse projects is a consistent goal with exhibitions ranging between thematic exhibitions, group shows, international residencies, solo exhibitions, experimental projects, and artist collaborations.

Honfleur Gallery, which houses 1700 square feet of exhibition space on two floors, opened in January 2007 as a project of ARCH Development Corporation. ADC is an organization dedicated to using the arts as a catalyst for local revitalization in Anacostia and has been a member of the Anacostia Community for over 20 years.

The facilities’ construction was funded, in part, by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
