Fairlawn Citizens Association Now Accepting Applications For Two Scholarships - Apply by April 30th

The FCA Scholarship is for high school seniors who are the children of Fairlawn members. This scholarship provides $1,000 per year for up to 4 years towards a college degree program.

The FCA ESA Scholarship is for Ward 8 youth pursuing a college degree program, vocational training program, professional internship, or other similar educational opportunity.

All applications are due Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Interested students may complete the application process by scanning the QR codes on the flyers.

The Fairlawn Citizens Association is a non profit group of residents who live in the Fairlawn community of Washington, DC. Bordered to the west by historic Anacostia, and to the north by the Anacostia River, Fairlawn, is one of the older communities east of the Anacostia River, developed in the 1920's as the rural part of the city began to be developed. Over 90% of the homes in the area are single family housing units. Some of the landmarks in Fairlawn are Anacostia Senior High School, the Anacostia Public Library and the historic Smokestack of the old Carroll Laundry.
