On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at approximately 12:40 AM, officers observed an individual moving through a crowd on a personal mobility device. The individual retrieved a knife and began waving it at persons near them. The individual was forced from their personal mobility device by one or more persons in the crowd. While on the ground, the individual continued to swing the knife at the bystanders. Officers engaged the individual and used a less lethal Electronic Control Device (ECD), successfully disarming the individual.
