Designed exclusively for girls 13 through 18 who are growing up without their father's presence and active involvement in their lives.
Participants are required to submit an essay of not less than 750 words that provides insight into how they have dealt with the challenge of their father's absence and what they have come to learn about themselves as a result. Winners receive cash prizes, and their works are published.
If your essay is selected by the judges, and you are in high school between the age of 15 and 18, you could receive a cash award of
$1500 for 1st Place winner
$700 2nd Place winner
If your essay is selected by the judges, and you are in middle school between the ages of 13 and 14, you could receive a cash award of
$500 1st Place winner
$200 2nd Place winner
Anyone not selected for the top prizes will receive a $15 cash gift certificate.
