Position Summary 

The Senior Director, Family Engagement is a bold, visionary leader who has a deep passion for supporting children and family success by collaborating to create structures and systems that strengthen families and build strong communities (child, family, and community). This leader is responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive strategy of all supported and supportive family initiatives for Early Head Start Family (Home) Visiting, and Strong by 8 Plus, our comprehensive strategy to ensure that all children reach their greatest potential and that their families can access the necessary opportunities and resources needed for families to thrive. This person ensures that families are supported in that journey. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, direct family outreach programming, support for school-based family outreach, coordination of partnerships, community resources for families, and parent leadership and advocacy. The Senior Director also leads our various parenting programs. The Senior Director is the primary liaison for family engagement with the education program as well as key program partners instrumental to our place-based approach. The Senior Director is responsible for facilitating and managing strategic programmatic partnerships and for participating in community-based collaboratives and networks. This role also includes the management of the family engagement team (Family Services Coordinator and, Baby and Me Manager). The Senior Director, Parent Initiatives reports directly to the Chief Program Officer.
