March 13 | Project Create VIRTUAL Family Art Day

Registration is now open for the next Family Art Day this Saturday, March 13th from 12:00 to 1:30 PM!

Worldwide, everyone has the common experience of making and eating food. For thousands of years, families have learned from their ancestors how to gather, prepare and consume dishes to not only nurture themselves but to spend time together.

Project Create families are welcome to come together and learn how to make a family cookbook. You will be able to fill it with recipes from your own family and the treasures of others.

Making the book will be simple and everyone in the family can participate. We’ll use a cereal box, a cracker box or a cookie box as our foundation and add interior pages to be filled with culinary delights.

Families can contribute one of their favorite recipes and we’ll put it into the chat so others can share.

Materials Needed From Home:

  • A cereal, cracker or cookie box for everyone in the family that wants to make a book

  • Copy paper or construction paper

  • Pencil or pen

  • Ribbon, string or a chenille stem - (what we used to call a pipe cleaner) - one needed for every book

  • Scissors

  • Optional: Tissue paper, collage materials, and glue.

  • Elmer’s All Purpose Glue is recommended but, you can use the Washable School Glue too.\

All ages are invited to attend this virtual session for this collaborative art project, and only basic supplies are needed.
