June 27 | ANC 8C hosts Elimination of Discrimination Against Women Community Meeting
Advisory Neighborhood Commission 8C will host a community meeting to learn about Bill 24-0649 Elimination of Discrimination Against Women Amendment Act of 2022. The purpose of the meeting is to learn more about the bill and to help the community draft testimony on the bill.
The stated purpose of B24-0649, the “Elimination of Discrimination Against Women Amendment Act of 2022” is to amend the District of Columbia Commission for Women Act of 1978 to require that all District government agencies conduct gender analyses every four years, to require the Commission on women to make training on gender equity and human rights available to District government employees, and to require the development of a citywide action plan to eliminate discrimination against women.
