JOB ALERT | PT Church Property and Office Manager - $20.25/hour

PURPOSE: To support the leadership, worshipping community, building users, and guests of the Washington City Church of the Brethren. The Church Property and Office Manager serves as support staff to the church ministry, by ensuring a welcoming building environment and managing the maintenance and scheduling needs of the church building and grounds. The position serves as the primary administrative assistant to the volunteer Pastoral Team and the Administrative Council. It includes the day-to-day clerical work and organization of the church.

This is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week, paid hourly) with some benefits. Some hours can be worked remotely, while some hours must be on-site during business hours.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the principal point of contact with church leaders, building users, community members, and vendors for all building management issues

  • Supervises and arranges with contractors for needed building inspections, maintenance, repairs, and cleaning

  • Assists church leadership with administrative tasks

  • Manages building use requests and communication with those using the building.

  • Professionally represents the church online and via phone

  • Prepares and prints Sunday worship materials
