The Director of Youth Development & Community Engagement (YDCE) leads the development and implementation of YDCE programs. As such, this individual supports and oversees SMYAL’s two full-time staff, one part-time staff, three part-time youth fellows, and volunteers in executing top-notch activities that enhance the lives of the area’s Queer & Trans youth. Our current program offerings include weekly programs as well as community-based programs. In this role, the Director of Youth Development and Community Engagement works to develop new programming, including program design inline with the organization's strategic plan, implementation, and evaluation, manage reporting requirements for funders, and lead the professional development efforts for the team.

This position will include certain evening and weekend hours and will require some flexibility in schedule. This position includes a combination of both remote and in-person work.
