Our Academy Managers are management that is focused on creating truly impactful creative educational experiences for DC youth. This Academy Manager position will provide a youth development professional the chance to work with a diverse solid staff as part of an organization that is recognized as a leader in youth development, arts education, presentation, hip-hop education, and spoken word. The Academy Manager will help to manage a program that places high value on innovation, management, strategic planning, and program execution. Each manages Teaching Artists on-site, Associates, and Interns to achieve the highest quality program in the development of our Academy Students and Apprentices. The Academy Manager is responsible for teaching artists to grow the Academy roster, provide training for staff, and partner in the implementation of the curriculum.

There are multiple positions reporting to a single Academy Director. Positions require work during school hours as well as after school. During summer weeks, positions will only be during day hours. Managers that start during the summer will manage one of five locations five days per week for eight-week blocks. 

Time Commitments:
Up to 20 hours per week Tuesday-Friday during the school year. (ending in June)
Up to 30 hours per week Monday-Friday during this summer. (July- August)

Compensation:
This is a contracted position for 1 year and requires the candidate to work in person.  At the completion of the contract, there are opportunities for promotion and increases in compensation.
