HII Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII - MDIS is currently seeking a Communications/Graphic Design Contractor to work out of their client's Rosslyn, VA office.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Will work principally with the Communications Manager on projects involving desktop publishing and graphic design

• Duties will include a broad scope of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Producing art for digital and printed publications

  • Layout and design of printed publications, such as brochures, posters and PowerPoint presentations

  • Some editing and writing may be required

Required Skills/Abilities (Primary):

• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of communications

• Bachelor s degree in communications, graphic design, or similar field

• Experience writing/editing, designing and producing corporate print and digital publications

• Ability to use both Mac and PC platforms with experience in SharePoint, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite

• Strong graphic design and layout skills

• Detail and deadline oriented

• Highly organized with the ability to multitask

• Good communication skills

• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment and follow through on assignments

• Portfolio required
