Feb 22 | Take Time Thursday: Miming for the Soul
Hear from Landle Jones, Founder of L&J Mime and Crazee Praize Nation, as he takes us on a journey of how he used his pain to birth his purpose. Mr. Jones will share clips of some of his performances.
Landle Jones is a licensed minister and a native of Prince Georges County, Maryland. Raised in the church, Mr. Jones has learned that although life can knock you down, it certainly cannot destroy you if you walk by faith and not by sight. He started teaching the art of Mime and ministering at the age of 17. He founded Crazee Praize Youth and Teen Arts Ministry, L&J Mime, and Crazee Praize Nation. Through his life experiences, Mr. Jones has shown that he is an overcomer and a change agent in his community by spreading a message of hope and faith through the Arts.
#TakeTimeThursday with Anacostia Community Museum allows participants to take time for wellness, health, and creativity with wellness practitioners, artists, thought leaders, performers, and issues advocates. Take a 45-minute break with us from 2:30 – 3:15pm and boost your mind, body, and spirit.
