Facebook seeks Internal Communications Manager

Facebook is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join its Internal Communications Team Strategic Response team. This individual will be a key member of Facebook’s internal communications team and drive rapid response communications and proactive campaigns centered on Facebook’s most pressing issues. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the communications and policy team at Facebook’s headquarters as well as with the regional and country leads and their teams globally. 

Candidates should have a strong understanding of Facebook’s policies and the ability to quickly explain them. Excellent community relations, crisis communications, communications strategy, and content development skills are crucial. A key part of the role will be working closely with our Communications and Policy team and providing information to help our employees understand Facebook’s policies, features, and positions on public policy issues. 

The ideal candidate will be able to work cross-functionally to drive teams towards a common goal. This role will work in partnership with functions across the company to collaborate. They will provide support for internal project management, steward relationships with internal and external partners, and ensure responsible sharing of data to inform key research questions. 

This role is located in Menlo Park, San Francisco, California or Washington, D.C. 

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with our communications, policy, legal, and leadership teams to build, understand and communicate corporate and product policies that support and protect our reputation

  • Drive proactive and reactive communications internally to support internal communications teams

  • Build partnerships with key internal stakeholders

  • Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and also work collaboratively on a team

  • Prepare messaging and other internal materials such as posts and briefings

  • Support product launches, policy advocacy, and other announcements

  • Engage on crisis communications topics and be able to quickly drive the team towards a strategy

  • Counsel cross-functional partners in engineering, product, policy, legal, and other groups within the company on internal communications considerations for product updates

  • Lead internal communications activities on some of Facebook's most pressing and difficult issues
