Arrest Made in an Unarmed Carjacking Offense: 1100 b/o First Street, SE

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Carjacking Task Force announced an arrest has been made in an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Saturday, February 20, 2021, in the 1100 block of First Street, Southeast.
At approximately 11:36 pm, one of the suspects entered the victim’s running vehicle at the listed location. The victim attempted to remove the suspect when an additional suspect approached the victim and motioned as if to have a handgun. One of the suspects then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On Monday, February 22, 2021, 19-year-old Rufus Davis III, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Unarmed Carjacking.
This case remains under investigation.
