The movement to end poverty is growing, and A Wider Circle is seeking hardy and dedicated individuals to serve as the voice and muscle behind the movement. Whether it be driving our trucks throughout the region receiving donations of furniture household items, or redistributing these items at our Center for Community Service, feel what it truly means to serve those who need our help the most.

Responsibilities:

• Drive or serve as passenger to pick up furniture and other items from families across the region - items that will be distributed to individuals and families living in poverty

• Receive donations at our Center for Community Service, unloading vehicles and interacting with donors

• Assist in sorting and organizing our donations, and maintaining areas of our 35,000 square-foot property

• Load clients’ vehicles with furniture items with care and attention to safety

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Capable of lifting 100 pounds

• Excellent communication and customer service skills and ability to articulate the issues with donors and clients about our work and mission

• Reliable and punctual, with a high level of professionalism

• Commitment and passion to join the movement to end poverty

• The four-day schedule includes one weekend day
