New Leadership for Anacostia Arts Center

(Washington, DC) Duane Gautier, President of ARCH, announced the following leadership change at ARCH Development. Camille Kashaka will be promoted to Director of the Arts Center. She will replace Kate Taylor Davis, Vice President for ARCH Development Corporation and the first Director of ARCH's Anacostia Arts Center, who will be leaving the organization to become Executive Director for Pyramid Atlantic, an arts organization in Maryland.

"I wish Kate success in her new position and thank her for all the things she has accomplished at ARCH. Foremost among those achievements is the development of Anacostia Arts Center into a well-recognized place to see and hear innovative and creative artistic expression. Additionally, Kate has built a strong artistic and operational team, which will make for a smooth transition" says Gautier.

Incoming Director Camille Kashaka will lead the center's operations and performing arts programming. Kashaka joined the ARCH team full-time in 2014 to coordinate the theater and rentals program. Kashaka has a MA in Arts Management from The American University and a BFA in Theater Administration from Howard University. Previously Kashaka worked at The Atlas Performing Arts Center and founded the theater program at the Senegalese-American Bilingual School in Senegal.

Mr. Gautier also announced the promotion of Amy Lokoff to Coordinator, Connectivity and Visual Arts, Terrance Nicholson to Associate Curator and Kadija Bangura to Coordinator, ARCH Communications and Business Support.
