Washington, DC- Anacostia Art Center will host the 1st WEAR HOUSE event Saturday, September 10th, from 4 til 10 p.m. on Good Hope Road at the Anacostia Art Center and Honfleur Gallery. This night market will feature 25 local fashion designers and retailers, local distilleries (Restorative Republic) and breweries (Right Proper Brewing) as well as live music performances from some of DC’s hottest DJs (Dreamcast + The Kufi Smacker-TKI).
“Ward 8 is home to many fashion entrepreneurs, from designers to boutiques. This is the first of many events to highlight the growing sector. In addition to supporting our current (AAC) retailers, creating low-entry opportunities, like WEAR HOUSE for our local designers and makers is a priority for us,” explains Kate Davis, VP of ARCH Development.
