THEARC Farm Young Farmer Apprentice Program

Mondays and Thursday 4-6 PM

THEARC Farm located at THEARC (1901 Mississippi Ave SE)  is looking for 10 teens ages 13 to 18 from Ward 7 and 8, to participate on our Young Farmer Apprentice Program. This 8 week program will provide teens with an introduction to urban farming, health and nutrition. Students will assist with farm tasks, including, planting and harvesting, attend weekly cooking classes and more. Our aim is to help foster the next generation of farmers by introducing youth to the benefits of growing and eating fruits and vegetables.
