Can you help Violet replace her stolen van?

Hello East of the River Family!

I know a lot of requests come across your desk but I hope that you consider supporting this one. Violet is part of our our Ward 8 family. She is an integral part of a Ward 8 farm and she is an amazing performer. A few weeks ago her van was stolen while it was parked in Anacostia. The culprits not only stole her only mode of transportation but also got her guitar and amp, her kids car seats and other important items. No one should have to go through that.

Violet is an amazing person and has given so much to Ward 8 and I am hoping that we can come together and get her back on the road.

Including the info and link to her GoFundMe page.

Violet is already over halfway to her goal, you can help her get there by DONATING HERE.

Hi! My name is Violet and I am a local DC urban farmer, musician and mother of two active, adorable toddlers.

Last Saturday my van was stolen from outside my friends place. Unfortanely I was returning from a long day of work and performing and left my workbag and guitar in the car. The next morning I came out to find it all gone and none of it has been recovered since!

Suddenly, I was witout a car, amp, guitar, and two new carseats  I had just gotten for my children.  Living in Oxon Hill, Maryland makes  this recent loss even more difficult because here, residents rely on a car to access basic things. Even more frustrating, I need to be able to get to work, tote my kids around and get to performances.

As a local DC performer, it has been rough losing all my valuable equipment and beloved instrument. With summer performances coming up soon, I still need to replace my acoustic guitar, so if anyone has an acoustic  guitar that can plug into an amp, laying around that they don't need, It will find a good home with me!

Anything helps! My van was very good to me and has been able to provide many rides for many friends and family!

Thank you for your support! It is greatly appreciated!
