March 26 | Power of 1 Congress Heights Community Cleanup

On March 26th, 1964, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X met at the United States Capital while attending a debate on the Civil Rights Bill by the United States Senate.

On March 26, 2016, the Ward 8 Arts & Culture Council and Broccoli City will host a clean up and visual art project at the intersection of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE, one of only two locations in America where a road named after Malcolm X intersects with a road named after Martin Luther King.

GO HERE to sign up, volunteer, and get your free ticket af the service event. 100 tickets are reserved for Ward 8 residents and are going fast!
