ARCH Developments Names Kate Taylor-Davis Vice President



(Washington, DC) Duane Gautier, Founder/CEO of ARCH Development Corporation promoted Kate Taylor Davis to the role of Vice President. Davis will focus on the arts and culture activities/interests of ARCH - including Honfleur Gallery, Anacostia Arts Center, Vivid Solutions Gallery - to help fuel the revitalization of Historic Anacostia by nurturing a local creative economy.

Davis, a DC resident since 1999, joined the ARCH team in 2013 to open and lead the Anacostia Arts Center. They 9,300 sq ft facility located at 1231 Good Hope Road SE has a combination of small business, gallery, and theatre space. The Center welcomes approximately 25,000 visitors annually, serves as a resource for entrepreneurs and creatives, and hosts over 200 events per year.

"Since her first day on the job, Davis has been an asset to ARCH. She has progressively taken on more responsibility, and I am thrilled that she is stepping into this additional leadership role for the organization. After launching the Anacostia Arts Center and making it a hub for art programming in Anacostia, I know she will do a great job leading the arts and cultural programming across all ARCH projects" says Gautier.

Of the promotion Davis remarks, "I love my job! ARCH has fostered something really special in Anacostia, and I am honored to be a part of it. I look forward to both stewarding and advancing the ARCH mission and its projects."

Previously, Davis was Director of External Relations for Imagination Stage (Bethesda, MD), Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Olney Theatre Center (Olney, MD), and Assistant Director of Education and Programs at the Association of Children's Museums (DC). She interned with The Kennedy Center and The District of Columbia Arts Center, among others. She is occasional lecturer at local universities and has served as a committee member for The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, vice president for The League of Washington Theatres, keynote panelist for Theatre Communications Group, and a grant panelist for Arlington County. In her spare time she helps produce off-beat art events. Davis holds an M.A. in Arts Management from The American University and a B.A. in English from The University of Michigan.
