Apotheosis of One Humankind presents 13 new works by Cuban-born artist Gustavo Diaz Sosa. These paintings convey his perception of The State, The Power, and anything that invovles human submission. More than serve as a social or explicit protest manifesto, Diaz Sosa's paintings are an existential projection of our looming future in light of modern history.
The 8th Annual East of the River Exhibition

Featuring work by artist who live, work, or have roots in Ward 7 & 8. Artworks range from painting to collage and touch on themes from dreamscapes to the contemporary black experience. Particpating artists: BK Adams I Am Art, David Ibata, Electra Bolotas, Luis Peralta Del Valle, Susana Raab, and James Terrell.
Innocent Eyes of Tierra Bomba Exhibition

Last year Jonathan French, the 2014 East of the River Distinguished Artist Award winner, traveled to the island of Tierra Bomba with a group of photographers to document local culture and teach its young inhabitants photography. This exhibit is the result of that project, featuring work by French, Mansa Mussa, Muata Langley, Nicole Mason, and Edward Keith II, as well as the 15 children they taught.
