In response to the recent violence in Ward 8 involving shootings and homicides, you are invited to meet with Ward 8 residents next Thursday, January 22nd, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, at the Old Congress Heights School, 3100 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE. The meeting is sponsored by the Congress Heights Community Association, Advisory Neighborhood Commission 8C, 7th District Citizens Advisory Council, Anacostia Coordinating Council, Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative, and the River East Emerging Leaders. The representatives of these organizations are copied in this e-mail.
