The Little Needle Girl

What is it like to be different — really different — from everybody else? Little Needle Girl knows exactly how that feels... because, just like a porcupine, she has sharp pins all over! The pins protect her, but they also mean that nobody can touch her. Little Needle Girl tries very hard to be a regular little girl, but nobody wants anything to do with her, because they think she’s so strange and different. After all, she’s covered with pins! This touching story presents valuable lessons about how people are different and yet the same, and about accepting others.

Re Re

RE RE is a power pop and folk girl quartet coming to America straight from the 2014 European Capital of Culture — Riga, Latvia! They’re kids from a far away
country... but in lots of ways, they’re also just like you — because they love to sing and dance to fun tunes. In a concert showcasing traditional Latvian music, you’ll have the chance to sing along to the biggest hits of these Eurovision Song Contest challengers — and you’ll also answer quiz questions about Latvia, play Latvian folk games, and maybe even win a RE RE CD to take home!

Cow Story

Everyone knows the famous story of the three pigs — but did you know that three baby goats and three baby cows also live in the same forest? It’s a fairy tale fact... and Slovakia’s PIKI Theatre brings this and other favorite legends — including some you’ve probably never even heard! — to the stage in Cow Story. See three goats rescued from a hungry wolf’s tummy; find out who helpedthe piglet build his solid brick house; and discover the cows’ daring and unusual mission of milk. Cow Story is a“tall fairy tale” with a twist!
