Too poor, but not poor enough for health insurance.
For shame for these states -- including my home state of Virginia -- for not expanding Medicaid. The Federal government will pay for the expansion for 3 years and then after that the Federal government will pay 90%. The states that are refusing to expand the Medicaid coverage
are literally turning down money rather than cover the most vulnerable.
Why won't these states expand the Medicaid coverage?
Politics.
