Dec 9 | Congress Heights Community Association Annual Holiday Celebration
Dear Neighbor,
Our annual holiday celebration will be Monday, December 9, 2013, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, at the UPO Petey Greene Center. Please bring a dish to share in the holiday spirit. Ballou High School students will be performing at the event.
On Saturday, December 14th, the annual Christmas Tree lighting will take place at Shepherd Park, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X Avenues, SE. From 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Congress Heights residents are asked to bring ornaments to hang on the tree. From 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm, there will be a program and afterwards we will go caroling for two blocks to a reception at the Gateway Pavilion on St. Elizabeths East Campus, which will end at 7:00 pm.
