Dec 3 + 17 | DC Jazz Bops Series at THEARC
Check it out!
Tuesday, December 3, 2013 - 9:30am
Tuesday, December 17, 2013 - 9:30am
DC Jazz Bops uses storytelling to teach very young children about the magic of the arts, even if they aren't old enough to play an instrument. Using a collection of award-winning literature, instructors will share stories about the joy of jazz music, the lives of jazz legends, and the origins of jazz as an art form, in an accessible and child-friendly environment that also promotes early interest in reading. These books will have accompanying CDS or online playlists that allow young readers to sing, dance and explore long after the clas is over. DC Jazz Festival's DC Jazz Bops series happens bi-weekly at THEARC on Tuesdays at 9:30 am and 10:30 am.
For more information and to register, call Katie Borgman, education assistant at (202) 457-7628 or katie@dcjazzfest.org.
