AWARD-WINNINGPHOTOGRAPHER JASON MICCOLO JOHNSON
UNVEILS MAJOR EXHIBITION

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Showing October 4-30, 2013
Inspired by the 1958 Thelonious Monk jazz album, “Mysterioso: Rhythm. Movement. Improvisation,” is award- winning photographer Jason Miccolo Johnson’s first commercial gallery showing in ten years. Each sub-theme explores the confluence of harmony and tension and incorporates sculptural representations, color and rhythmic patterns, and “hush tones” – particularly in the floral images. The photographs ignite a sense of mystery and intrigue while taking the viewer on an intellectual and artistic journey through space and time. The exhibition is in two locations simultaneously - The Anacostia Arts Center (11 – 7 pm, Tues. – Sat.) and The B Spot Art Gallery (11 – 7 pm, Tues. - Sat.).
